Campfire Hollow is a unique stay featuring the only Geo Dome on Table Rock Lake. The Dome is surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty within a wooded geological oasis. A wet-weather creek carves a path through the property, which forms a beautiful hollow with unique rock formations and seasonal waterfalls!

As mentioned above, the property is located on beautiful Table Rock Lake, but its also just 10 minutes from Roaring River State Park, and only 25 minutes from Eureka Springs. So you are within close distance to some of the Ozarks most beautiful sites!

Campfire Hollow consists of two structures on 1.6 acres of wooded serenity. The Dome is the main living structure. The Wash House is the second structure. The Wash House is a short stroll from the Dome. The Wash House includes 2 standard toilets, 1 stand-up shower w/ hot water, washing vanity, and a washer/dryer.

The Geo Dome has 300 square feet of living space with an 11 foot ceiling. The Dome has a plush queen-size bed, linens, blankets, and a queen air mattress for additional sleeping space. It also includes a small kitchenette, dining set, and basic utensils. The Dome is fully equipped with electricity and lighting for added convenience. Additional amenities include a mini fridge w/ freezer, water dispenser, coffee maker, toaster oven, electric griddle, games, books, etc.

The outdoor space was created for fun and relaxation. Outdoor amenities include a BBQ grill, fire-pit, a picnic table, yard games, a hammock, 2 guest-only hiking trails to Table Rock Lake, and seasonal waterfalls.

The property is suitable for up to four guests, as there is one queen sized bed as well as a queen sized air mattress! Campfire Hollow is located in a quiet rural lakeside neighborhood. The property is full of trees and natural privacy. Enjoy nature without being in the middle of nowhere!

The Midwest is known for it’s HOT Summer months. So it should come as no surprise that the Midwest is also home to some of the country’s best water-parks! In this article I will cover my 10 personal favorites. Let me know if I left any off the list.

Lost Island-

This island-themed campground, located directly behind Lost Island Waterpark and Adventure Golf and Go Karts, is perfect for a family getaway. Lost Island Waterpark was recently voted one of the Top 10 water-parks in the country! The water park has 14 different water slides, from body slides to twisting tube slides.  There is also a lazy river and wave pool!  Thrill seekers will love the lost soul falls water slide. No matter what your interests are, The Lost Island is a perfect location for a unforgettable family getaway.

Raging Waves-

Raging Waves Water-park is the largest water-park in Illinois and one of the largest in the entire Midwest! Raging Waves is located at 4000 N. Bridge St. in Yorkville, Illinois. There is also a 1/4 mile lazy river, and a 350,000 gallon wave pool. Highlights of the water-park include: The Aussie Mat Dash, This six-lane RallyRACER is just 1 of 3 of its kind in the WORLD! PJ’s Plummet is another popular attraction within the park. On this extreme slide you can hit speeds of 43 mph during descent, as you come to a splashing stop at ground level. If your family loves summer days in the sun, Raging Waves Water-park is the place for you! With 32 water-slides, 43 cabanas and an epic lazy river, your sure to make memories that last a lifetime!

Island Oasis-

Island Oasis Water-Park offers over six acres of refreshing Family Fun! More adventurous thrill seekers will experience the force of gravity first hand when they ride one of two six-story high-speed slides! Magic Waters-

Magic Waters Water Park located in Rockford Illinois, is a place the whole family can enjoy.  For the thrill seekers in your group there are plenty of water slides and dump buckets, while those just looking to relax can enjoy the beautiful lazy river. One of the more popular attractions at Magic Waters is the 707,000 gallon wave pool, known as Tsunami Bay.  The waves alternate between huge ocean waves, and calm relaxing tide, to give you a perfect mixture of thrill and chill.  This lazy river is 1,200 feet in length and winds all the way around the park.  The river is lined with trees, rock formations, and even 2 waterfalls. Raging Rivers-

This amazing waterpark in Grafton Illinois is the perfect place to enjoy summer in style. Raging Rivers Waterpark is located at 100 Palisades Pkwy in Grafton, Illinois. About 40 miles from St. Louis. Raging Rivers Water-Parkhas some amazing attractions! including Breaker Beach Wave Pool, a never ending Lazy River that loops around the park, there is Treehouse Harbor and the Itty Bitty Surf City for the younger guests. If you love water-slides, they have those too!  The Mississippi Monster water-slide offers the biggest thrills in the park and has three hidden chambers. Oceans Of Fun-

Oceans of Fun is thee largest water-park in Missouri and also one of the largest in the entire Midwest. Oceans of Fun is located at 4545 Worlds of Fun Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. For more information, click here. This amazing tropical paradise water-park offers a wide variety of water slides and attractions to provide guests of all ages an unforgettable experience! Currently the park sits at just over 60-acres, and has a large selection of water rides and attractions. Including: a MILLION GALLON wave pool, 18 water slides, and a 800 foot long lazy river! Cool off this summer, at the biggest and best water-park in the Midwest!

Big Surf-

Big Surf Water-Park is an amazing water-park and has a variety of rides and attractions the entire family will enjoy! Big Surf Water-Park is located at 954 State Road Y in Linn Creek, Missouri. For more information, click here. This is the ultimate Lake Of The Ozarks family destination. The water-park has 5 different water-slides each one varying in length and thrill factor.  The lazy river winds through about half of the park! It takes about five minutes to float completely around the river. Aside from the water-slides and the incredible lazy river is a huge Wave Pool. The 375,000-gallon pool generates waves up to three feet tall.  This is the perfect place for family fun!

Fugitive Beach-

The Fugitive Beach is such a popular destination for both locals and those all over the region.  Once an abandoned rock quarry, The Fugitive Beach now serves as a tropical paradise, surrounded by towering limestone bluffs. Fugitive Beach is spread out on more then 20 beautiful acres.  The beach itself is over 300 feet in length of soft sand, just perfect for laying out in the summer sun. Other then the beautiful views of the azure blue water, the main attraction is the 65 foot cliff side, water slide!  There is also cliff jumping, at 10, 15, and 20 foot heights as well a 60 foot slip and slide that is fun for kids and adults. Pine Lake Water Park-

Pine Lake Water Park  swimming oasis is a hidden gem in Berne Indiana. This is a perfect place to soak up nature’s majesty while swimming in a pristine, spring fed body of water as your worries and cares wash away. This water park is loaded with attractions, with five different water slides, a cable ride, the Black Hole, the Jump Tower,  and the log walk. There is also the Duck Boats and the Splash Pad. Aqua Adventures Waterpark–

Aqua Adventures Waterpark is a private, tropical oasis located right here in the beautiful Midwest in Middletown Ohio! This gorgeous Lakefront Vacation Home is located on Lake Egypt in southern Illinois, and is just minutes from some of the best hiking locations in the Midwest. You can swim off the dock and into one of the best low traffic swim zones on the lake. The property is close to the main tubing area and on a private inlet. In good weather you can also relax in the new hot tub overlooking the lake! With two floors of living space, this is the perfect vacation home for the entire family with plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Tree-Top 16

The Tree-Top 16 vacation home has two bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. There are also two full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and a gorgeous deck, overlooking the lake! The Tree-Top 16 vacation home is located in Lake of the Ozarks in MIssouri. Nestled among the treetops, this unique octagon shaped home has plenty of amenities, including the use of 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool (with a sauna & hot tubs), tennis courts and a volleyball/basketball court all within in a small village setting. This waterfront home has two levels and a partial view of the lake due to the trees in the summer. Features include a large Master Suite with a King bed & private bath, Guest Bedroom with a Queen bed, and a sofa sleeper in the lower level living area, plus a full kitchen, extra half-bath, dining area and is located just a short walk from one of the three outdoor pools. The Wisconsin Dells Cabin

The Wisconsin Dells Cabin has a jaw dropping sunroom, and an amazing rustic vibe! The cabin can sleep seven adults, and is located in Wisconsin Dells Wisconsin. For more information, or to check availability, click here.  Escape to the tranquility of the woods with a stay at this three-story rustic-chic farmhouse.   Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the nearby ATV trails, and Parker Lake is less than four miles away. The home’s crown jewel is the giant sunroom with an extra-large sectional where you can cozy up with a blanket and feel immersed in nature year-round. This gorgeous vacation home has three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, and can accommodate seven adults! The property is also dog friendly for an additional fee! All the TV’s are set up for streaming, just bring your login and passwords. The basement features a TV room off the bunk room that younger guests will love using as a private hangout.

The Box Hop

When it comes to vacation homes, location is everything, and The Box Hop does not disappoint. The Box Hop is located in Rockbridge Ohio. Outside, you have all 18.5 acres to hike and explore close by or simply sit out and enjoy the scenes of nature. Cook on the gas grill or cuddle up on the couch around the gas fire table. After a long day of hiking, you can relax in the 6-person hot tub nestled among the trees.  This is really one of those places you need to see to believe!

Whitetail Dream Cabin

Welcome to the Whitetail Dream Cabin! This private Hocking Hills Cabin Rental sits on 10 beautiful acres, and with just one cabin on the property, you will have exclusive access to all the amenities! The Whitetail Dream Cabin is located at 31962 Ansel Road in Logan Ohio. There are two bedrooms, with two beds and one bathroom. There is even a 50 inch HD flat panel TV with Satellite service. Outside the cabin, is one of the most popular features of this vacation home. The spring fed Pond is nothing short of amazing! The spacious 7 person hot tub is led lit and located under the covered patio. Enjoy stunning views of the valley while while relaxing in the soothing water. Another amazing feature, you can only find at the Whitetail Dream Cabin is the onsite gym. The Cozy Cottage

The Cozy Cottage rests on the shores of Diamond Lake in Wawaka, Indiana.  Come enjoy this relaxing lake-front retreat with great views and a cozy atmosphere. The property comes with two kayaks, two paddle-boards, a paddle boat and fishing poles! The cozy cottage has one bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living room.
